Down Syndrome—A Mom’s Story of Hope, with Sylvia Bass
October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month. A mother to six, Sylvia Bass shares about her beautiful daughter Regina, born with Down Syndrome. She provides encouragement, advice and a real-life perspective needed in a world that still seems to not be very informed when it comes to this genetic condition.
Sylvia met her husband when she was 18. They both graduated from law school, but she realized that working as an attorney was not really for her (plus, she was struggling with severe morning sickness).
Sylvia suffered some devastating early miscarriages and provides hope for many who might be struggling with the same. She also shares valuable insights about her six c-sections.
