Unhurried in Order to Heal our Hearts
Sometimes our past is quite painful, even traumatic. In order to heal these dark places, we have to "make space" and "unhurry" ourselves. Today, we meet the wise, gracious, and totally authentic, Bonnie Gray, author of "Sweet Like Jasmine: Finding Identity in a Culture of Loneliness." Bonnie grew up the Chinese-American daughter of a mail-order, teenage bride, and a busboy working in San Francisco's Chinatown. She felt she never belonged. She spent her childhood hiding Chinese Bonnie who lived in a dysfunctional home in poverty. Be sure to have a box of Kleenex right beside you, because Bonnie's story will most definitely inform your story and help you make peace with your past.
