We are in a mental health crisis of epidemic proportions. Rates of addiction, mass violence, and suicide are at an all-time high. This data is evidence of the failures of both society and mental health treatment, and even perhaps, proof of the failures of our modern-day church systems. We have to do better. Today we talk with Sudhir Gadh, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist with a private practice in Union Square, NYC. First, we hear from the heart of a compassionate man who gives selflessly to his clients and community. Second, we hear from a wise doctor who became increasingly frustrated with underwhelming effective medications with overwhelming side effects. He asked himself, "Can't we do better?" He is currently studying, researching, and implementing low-dose lithium as a possible alternative treatment for mental and emotional well-being.
