Smart Devices Are Only Smart Because People Learn the Language of Code

Recent research puts coding at the forefront of future careers. What is Coding? Why is it important to learn in the early years? In this episode, we welcome Coach Newton Antoniuk from Panucation, a non-profit organization that uses playful and creative thinking tools to engage learning experiences for youth families and educators. Coach Newton has partnered with Stride to offer a free "Playful Introduction to Coding" class for no cost to any family with students grades 3-7. There is no requirement for enrollment in a Stride school to participate. #StrideCoding Here are the links connected to this episode: Scratch: https://scratch.mit.edu/ Scratch Info for Parents: https://scratch.mit.edu/parents/ Code.org: https://code.org/ Panucation YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/panucation “Saturday Morning Code with Coach” playlist on YouTube (15 episodes) https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMNbXlIEyBDhIjCFuQn_k9KWyHX8k5hQK Panucation: https://panucation.org/ Upcoming Stride Coding Introduction with Coach (Register with Stride) August 4 and 19 Register now at http://spr.ly/61801vTQw https://www.k12.com/
