What is the Parent Responsibility When a Family Schools at Home?
A learning coach is the adult in the home responsible for providing academic support, motivation, and guidance to keep the child on track with assignments and course work. The Learning coach works hand in hand with teachers and works to build an individualized learning experience for the student. Corrie Munson has worked with four of her children from kindergarten to where her last child is entering high school. She talks about the challenges and successes of her learning coach role in educating her four children in a public school at home.
