Got to go, got to go, got to go ….Part 2

Dr Juana Hutchinson-Colas, a special mentor of our host, continues to talk about bladder and kidney issues in this part 2 of 3 episodes. But first she talks about her love for mentorship and what you must have to be a good mentee.Such attributes include being able to analyze things around you and shift as you need to;and the brain-hand connection. She also discussed her long time passion for women advocacy. Then she shifts gear into her role as a pelvic floor reconstruction super-specialist using minimally invasive techniques as the times demand. And as for technology she discusses the “ bladder pacemaker “ as a 3rd line FDA-approved device for certain bladder conditions. The bladder can be the first clue for a neurological condition and simple first line things we can do to help achieve a diagnosis include keeping a urinary diary and behavioral changes. In some other diagnostic steps, Dr Hutchinson-Colas can look into your bladder literally, in an office procedure. There can also be a condition of a “complicated leakage “ which can happen in developing countries and in America, which she explains. She delves into female pelvic and fetal factors that enable a woman to deliver a baby any where and those factors that make this difficult. In this podcast she discusses all the things that must be done before surgical management and mentions the “K” word! She closes with a discussion on Botox. #Pelvicsurgeon #MIGS #Fellowshiptraining #Urineanalysis #urinalysis # UndiagnosedDiabetes #Diabetes #SpinalStenosis #multiplesclerosis #recurrentUTIs #kidneystones #ObstructedLabor #Fistula #Cancer #RadiationTherapy #CancerTreatment #physicaltherapy #kegels # kegelsexercises #medicare # Medicaid #gottogogottogogottogo #oxybutynin #drymouth #narrowangleglaucoma #mirabegron #botox # selfcatheterization
